Fitted a Kawasaki ZXR750 front, Honda VFR wheel and Suzuki GSXR 1000 brakes.Bought at www.goparts.nl a second hand Honda VFR 750 front wheel. New bearings for the wheel and steering head were also bought. | Brake disc adapters homemade of 51ST aluminum. To fit the wave discs from a Yamaha YZF R7. | Bought in Germany a Kawasaki ZXR750 front fork with triple trees. | Disassembled the forks and did some pre machining for the modification to fit them on the Vmax. | At my dads garage I made the bushings for making the ZXR front longer to meet the 86 centimeters of the Vmax. | Cut some metric 44x1 outside and metric 23x1 inside the bushing. This makes the ZXR front 14 centimeters longer then before. | To make the fork more beefy and possible to fit a aluminum tube over the fork, I made some rings. | The rings are as end stop for the tubes. Made a new stan for the triple trees and a test setup with the bushing fit inside the fork. The gap is about the middle of the triple trees. | Made the front axle and tested all in my Vmax. Seems to be right measured and all fits well as expected. | Beefed up with the aluminum tube for the looks and eliminating the gap of the bushing. And also makes it stronger. | | The rear wheel also polished. Gives a better detailed look about the width of the wheel from sideways viewed. Now running front and back with Avon Azaro ST tires. The rear disc insde sprayed matt black. | Nitromax came with the nice idea of this front fender. He had this one in his 'store' ;-) and thought it would look nice on my bike. So spray painted it, made a mounting and glued some racechickengaze inside it. | Sprayed the rear part and gaze matt black. This black gaze matches the Vmax scoops now. Blank was not my style, too shiny. And the black back makes it look shorter and has still the protection for the radiator. |
