DIY FuelInjection
2005 : Busy with an injection system Print E-mail

Bought at EBay a GSXR 1000 throttlebody kit.
These injectors are enough to feed till a maximum of 300 HP at highest pressure rate.
I am going to use the MSEFI DIY computer.

Image

Pre machined parts for a manifold.
Made them at my dads garage where he has a Lathe and a milling machine. He is black smith for his hobby.
Soon he has his own site at Saarloos Black Smithing.

Again soldered with Alutite. Did the Keihin FCR manifolds also with them. Was a very good lesson to make and these ones also with the Alutite done.

Image

Lot of Dremel work to get all shapes inside as needed. The outside where the raw Alutite was is also sanded of and later polished the outside.

The test setup and the polished manifolds.
Top view of the 42 mm throttle bodies.

Now making the connection between the 2 sides and making the fuel rail.

Wiring everything on the bike.

Topview. Everything mounted and fixed.
Cleaned up the wiringmess and connected the NOS kit.
Mounted a fuelpressureswitch for the NOS kit as safety for the possible fuelpressure drop. Also a set of chrome top K&N filters mounted for street use.

Image

Clear Fuel lines for the NOS kit on the bottom and above them the injectors from the MSEFI controller.

It runs !!!! Not that well but have to tune everything.
The wbo2 controller from TechEdge works well. and the MSEFI a little changed also.

Now running Megasquirt Extra code 024s9 with nitrouscontrol, rev limiter,
better cold start and warmup settings, 12x12 tables, prime settings,
afterstart, shiftlight, launchcontrol. Also spark control should be possible with this version.

Changed the fuelpump with a GSXR 1000 2004 model.
Modified the tank and now it is built in, also the pressure regulator is in the tank and the level floater is used.
Missing a half liter max but that is not a real issue.
