CNC stands for Computer Numerical Control.

I am building a CNC portal mill for a while and soon there will be a few pictures and stories about this project.

Something really different than Megasquirt Electronic Fuel Control but it is in the same view.
Building from scratch a system and figuring out what the best result will be.

The target is a 3 axis machine with a workspace of 800x600x300 milimeters.
8000 RPM DIN 40 auto toolchanger spindle 1,8 kW. Precision bearings and ballscrew spindles.

USBCNC V5 CNC controller with High power stepper motors and drivers.
Speeds are now up to 4800 mm/min on free float.
